| The incumbent is a key contributor to the organization’s productive workforce by providing high quality Human Resources support and services to the organization. Areas of primary responsibility include identifying, developing, planning, managing, facilitating and evaluating learning & development initiatives and activities as well as providing employee relations support to all areas of the organization. Incumbent will also support recruitment/selection and provide guidance and support on HR policies/administration as needed. Serves as a resource for all AgStar team members, team leaders, and senior management in fulfilling our mission of being an “Employer of Choice”. To that end, remains informed of developing trends/practices and recommends ongoing adjustments to policy and procedures in all areas of Human Resource management. Contributes to the Human Resources planning process to establish annual and long term objectives for the Human Resources function. |

| Education, training, experience: |
This position requires a Bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or closely related field and a minimum of five to seven years of related HR experience. Must have experience in employee relations and learning and development, including facilitation of programs for a wide variety of audiences. Advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP, etc.). Requires a solid understanding of state and federal employment law, such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Worker’s Compensation, EEO, etc. Position requires excellent client service, collaboration, planning, project management, communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, conflict resolution, team, and computer skills (MS Office). Must have experience with handling personal and confidential information.
