Primary Areas of Focus
Provides Administrative Support for the Academic Program
Supports Staff and Students
Provides support to the Executive Director and the Director of Education
Accountability
Reports Directly to the Director of Education
Primary Responsibilities
Provides Administrative Support for the Academic Program
Provides Support in Curriculum, Professional Development and Student and Staff Recognition
Curriculum
1. Responsible for ordering curriculum, curriculum related supplies and other instructional materials as well as all office and school supplies.
2. Track orders and coordinate delivery and disbursement of supplies.
3. Filing and organizing orders and maintaining a system for all curriculum related paperwork.
4. Responsible for the inventory and collection of all curriculum and curriculum related supplies.
Professional Development
1. Registers all Professional Development for staff including course registration, hotel accommodations and travel arrangements as needed.
2. Tracks and reports all Professional Development for all staff to the Director of Education.
3. File and record all information relevant to all Professional Development opportunities that staff participates on a monthly basis.
4. Responsible for updating Monthly Student Data Report.
5. Create certificates of completion for all in house professional development opportunities and distribute to staff when appropriate.
Student / Staff Recognition
1. Responsible for creating and distributing all school wide student certificates and awards.
2. Responsible for staff and student photograph for monthly display.
3. Coordinate all school bulletin boards with relevant information and topics.
4. Coordinate all Monthly Assembly prizes, school raffles and director ticket prizes.
5. Purchase all relevant prizes and certificates for recognition.
Supports Staff and Students
1. Substitutes when necessary for various building duties including, recess, lunch and breakfast duty.
2. Responsible for filing and filing system necessary for all Primary and Secondary responsibilities.
3. Responsible for organizing all curriculum and materials, including spreadsheets and documentations when appropriate.
4. Responsible for copying materials in preparation for tests, conferences, meetings, etc.
5. Responsible for purchasing materials as well as tracking, delivery and storage of materials, when necessary.
Provides Support to the Executive Director and the Director of Education
Legislative Support
1. In charge of monitoring the political landscape as it relates to education and other pertinent political issues.
2. Document and summarize important issues and provide information to Executive Director.
3. Attend lobbying sessions as needed.
Educational News Monitoring
1. Scan local newspapers and new media for issues that my affect PA (i.e. Richfield Sun Current, Star Tribune, MACS website, etc.)
Managing School Calendar
1. Manage the school calendar by tracking and updating staff information such as, absences, conference attendance, etc.
2. Document events and meeting times/dates for all school related activities. |
